The best way to know this city within walls is on foot. Choose to do a walking tour. Start your tour of the Évora public garden, and then you will have the opportunity to pass next to the D. Manuel Palace, emblematic building with highlight to its porch and elongated buildings. Continuing up the park you will reach the Church of S. Francisco, with the chapel of bones, one of the most place of interest.
After the visit to the chapel we will go to the heart of the city – Praça do Giraldo, here we will find cafes and esplanades all around. In the square we will find the main street (pedestrian) that will take us to the ex-libris of the city the Roman temple.
The Alentejo is a very rich region gastronomically, both in terms of its most typical food, as well as its pastries.
